Gas Logs

Add style to your masonry fireplace with a new set of glass doors and vented gas logs. Vented gas logs will give the illusion of real wood burning in your fireplace, without the hassle of cleaning up the mess. Gas logs will not wear away over time, and will burn the same way time and time again.

Vented gas logs use the natural draft of your fireplace to exhaust the byproducts of combustion (carbon dioxide and water) outside. In Massachusetts, it is required that the damper be permanently fixed open or completely removed prior to installation. As a result, vented gas logs are not efficient as a source of heat, and are used more to add ambience to your home.

Glass Doors

Because the damper must be fixed open, we highly encourage the inclusion of a glass door with a gas log setup. All glass doors that Anderson Fireplace uses are customized to the size of each individual fireplace. They are designed to help minimize air escaping through the flue when the gas log is not being used.
